Fruit Smoothie Trio

by Fruit Smoothie Trio

Imagine walking into a closet in your house only to find yourself in Narnia. Thirteen smiling fauns wave to you... then one punches you in the face. He picks you up and you begin to cry into his wooly tufts of faun hair. That's what this CD is like.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In the summer of 2007, Joel Tomkinson, Nate Tomkinson, Ryan Hsu, and Joe Morales met up at a distressed college neighborhood house in Greensboro, NC to share a bottle of Jägermeister. Little did they know that they were about to embark on the greatest musical journey of their lives. With the help of several bottles of Jägermeister and at least $200 of Jimmy John's gourmet sandwiches, the band wrote and recorded 11 songs over a single weekend. Over the course of the next year and a half, the band got together whenever they could to talk about life, write music, and to drink lots of Jägermeister. By the fall of 2008, the four friends had written over 60 songs and felt ready to take a few of them to the studio. Fruit Smoothie Trio's first album is full of twists and turns, tears and laughter, penguins and water chestnuts. This album undoubtedly represents the first in a great saga of Fruit Smoothie Trio projects that will rattle the foundation of Planet Earth until the good Lord Jesus comes and destroys it.
