Album Notes
Funnel was quite simply a force of nature in the late 1990's. In 1997, a band comprised of five life-long friends, brothers really, decided to stop playing covers and write an album they could all be proud of. This is the fruit of that labor. Wide Open was released on CD in May 1998 and garnered major label attention and widespread radio airplay across the US. Twenty years later, the idea of remixing the album to celebrate the 20th anniversary became a mission. The rules were simple; nothing could be re-recorded. No overdubs, no faking it. Just take what was on the original tapes and remix the songs. Including a never before released bonus track, "When I Cross Your Lines", this is the ultimate collector's edition of the band's debut album. Available digitally for the first time ever, here is Funnel's debut album, Wide Open, at twenty years young.
