Album Notes
Peerless songs, rich vocals and lush, swooning cello define Furlined, a Bristol UK-based band formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Neil Crossley and cellist Tegan Everett.

Boasting influences that range from alt country to Edwyn Collins, Crossley's vocals and acerbic wit prove to be the perfect companion to Everett's cello. It's a flawless interplay that provides a bedrock for the band's finely-honed melodies.

In 2008 Furlined released their debut album Love Comes In Canisters, which attracted much press acclaim.

"A charming and individual debut of rare depth"” said Clash magazine. "There is a womb-like intimacy to their sound, centred around Crossley's engaging and darkly humorous lyrics and the delightful cello sparring."

That same year, the duo recruited bassist Graham Dalzell and drummer Greg White into their ranks, and the four-piece have since blossomed into a powerful and magnetic live act.

In April 2012, Furlined release their second album Win A Dream Wedding, 11 tracks featuring soaring hooks, hypnotic riffs and some acutely-observed lyrics. From the heartfelt… 'Stay close to me, you’ve got my eyes and my mischief, sings Crossley about his young daughter, on the ballad 15 Seconds. To the acerbic… Round here there are pubs covered up with boards, where grown men dress like toddlers with an obsession for St George,' he observes on the album's storming opener, Sovereign Ring.

It’s an album inspired by a grainy range of emotions, from snapshot encounters and nostalgic yearnings to joyous rants after cracking open another bottle of red at four in the morning. “If there’s a theme to this album,” concludes Crossley, “It’s great things happening in grim places.”
