Album Notes
Gabriel Katona infuses his artistry with his passion for music and life.

He draws upon his experiences taking him from Miami, to Los Angeles, to Nashville.

Gabriel was influenced by Western classical and music of his father, who was an opera singer and by the Latin native sounds of Afro Latin and other local folk styles.

Gabriel, at the age of ten, and his family moved from Miami and eventually chose Los Angeles as their home.

Gabriel pursued his formal musical training in Miami and Los Angeles while playing keyboards, saxophone, singing and recording with local bands in high school and college.

He became a well-known keyboard studio musician, artist and songwriter/composer in LA.

He was signed by Motown, playing, recording and writing songs for such artists as The Jacksons, The Temptations, Rare Earth, and many others.

He also toured and recorded with artists such as Jefferson Starship, Rick Springfield, Redbone, Player, Climax Blues Band, Dan Hill, David Pomeranz, Bobby Womak, and Richie Furay.

As a composer/arranger, Gabriel has a long list of promotional, video, film, and television credits including Kenny Roger's Gambler 5, Karate Kid, Death Ring, and Granville USA.

He built his studio in Los Angeles where he produced, recorded and played for several cutting edge West Coast artists.

He also produced the Warner Latin artist "Jose Maria Lobo" and Latin artist "Ganem".

Gabriel co-founded, co-produced, and co-wrote for the post modern rock band "Shake".

Gabriel relocated to the Nashville area and built his current studio, "The Rock Quarry".

There he works with upcoming and established artists on songwriting, arranging, producing, and recording; and he scores for television and film.

Gabriel is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) and the Latin Recording Academy. He is also a long standing member of ASCAP.

100,000 STARS!!!
I LOVE LATIN MUSIC and this CD IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! JUST BEAUTIFUL, I could LISTEN to that music forever !!!!

Carol Batey ,music freelance journalist

I love Gabriel Katona's musical peformance. The CD is a musical expression!
Music is the universal language of mankind, said Longfellow. Reflections by Katona is a world of journey, colors and expressions. At one time within the CD you feel you're in Africa or Spain track 1 The Last Rainforest. Michael Ripoll's acoustic &electric guitars make you feel deep within your soul.Ripoll is a young talented musicians that plays with Kirk Whalum. He has Latin
roots and when you listen you can tell.

Media track 2 starts with the brillant creation of the keyman. When I listen to this track I see cars driving, boats moving, people running this should be use in a movie! Michael Fair's flugehorn blows in and out , but ends up the track, called Media. If you have a movie and you need movement you should hear this one.

As a music journalist out and about in my commuinty, I see and hear all types of genre's. Reflections moves me to dance and feel happy. I fix me tropical drink & kick back and in my mind I am in Cuba, Mexico, or Spain. I'm loving this Latin CD and play it when my friends come over to party or whatever. We don't have to go South of the Border
to get good Latin Jazz, listen to the CD and you'll know what I mean. I am also a black women who digs this multiculture music and the work that was design into it.

John Horn, from the Rolling Stones is an added plus to many of the tracks as he plays saxophone, flute,or recorder. Gabriel's percussion on track 3 funked-up.

I have seen this man play live in Nashville's Music City.
He is full of raw energy that's put out to the audience.
He looks like he jumping off his keyboard, Gabriel is electricfing.

My favorite track, since I am also a massage therapist for the music stars in Nashville is track 5. Celestial Nocturne, with an all stars band, it is absolutely relaxing and helps in reflexing, the cello played by Catchings is great and healing in my work!
Michael Fair opens up Little Bailarina hooks you in. Gabriel on piano is very powerful almost like a storyteller.

Track 7 takes you on a Latin trip around the world!
