ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

This album was the album that got lost when we were fired just prior to Capricorn Records declaring bankruptcy.
We returned home and did a variation of this album in Montreal called
Reason to Be. I used the Muscle
Shoals rhythm section and Clayton Ivy played some piano. Terry Woodford and Clayton Ivy produced this second album which was supposed to follow the Out There Tonight album.
Dennis French also played drums. Walter Lawrence on guitar. Jacques Fillion string machine. Chip Yarwood on flute and synthesizer. Paul O'Donnell on guitar. Maris Tora on base. Garfield French Piano, guitar and vox.

Awesome!!
It is so exciting to have found Garfield again, a band I loved from the 70s! For all these years I have wondered what became of them, and always hung on to my favorite album "Out there Tonight" on my vinyl record. I am so thrilled that Garfield French (the lead singer" has released new work as well as old never before released work. This "Lost in the Shoals" album!! How incredible is it that this album was lost for 40 years and has just now been released! It is just as wonderful as I would expect from Garfield, I love it, and can't stop listening to it. Just like "Out the Tonight" it is so rich with instruments , and variations within each song, and to hear Garfield's beautiful voice puts me in a really good space! Thank you Garfield, I so love it!!
