Album Notes
Recorded at Spray Records in Lexington, KY by Otto Helmuth, More Seas Than Before was subsequently mixed and mastered by the legendary Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, Supersuckers, Hot Hot Heat, etc.) in Seattle, WA.

Shortly before the album's release, Hello Records folded its tent. With the band out on tour, anyway, and set to play a CD release show in New York City...well, that was September 11, 2001.

The lack of label support and good touring fortune did not deter critics, however, and the album continues to evolve from its place as a little-known curiosity to an enduring gem.

“Nice. Very, very nice. Garland Buckeye do all those things you love(d) about modern classic rock music.”
Skyscraper Magazine (NY)

"Magically, invisibly, implicitly tapped in to the universal muse." (CA)

"The songs are mighty strong here. These gentlemen could very well be next year’s hippest underground band." (GA)

"Garland Buckeye are on a mission: show those pretentious indie rock snobs that there's only one way to rock."
Action Attack Helicopter (IN)

“Garland Buckeye comes with a big hardy recommendation.”
Naughty Secretary Club (TX)

"The lyrics are fantastic. Really, really good."
Screech Magazine (NY)

"Packing enough anthemic power to stave off an entire army of Rivers Cuomo wanna-bes."
Splendid Ezine (IL)

"This is a bizarrely creative band."
Skratch Magazine (CA)

"Raw power, tight performances and hooks... the melodies are great and the guitars are even better."
Sponic Ezine (CO)

"Damn if it ain’t sweet."
