ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The 3rd single release off the "Let's Get Surreal" LP, 'The Eternal Laugh/Quiet' is Garrett N.'s most personal and spiritually influenced composition. Initially inspired by experiences in the wilderness, the song was recorded in a haunted cabin in Alaska. Garrett N. recalls: "The Hammond organ you hear toward the beginning actually played itself for a few seconds during the recording process. I was house sitting a close friend's cabin while she was away for a few days, and decided to set up my equipment and record the organ acoustically. In between takes, a gust of wind slammed the rear door shut, and I began to feel the chills, as if there was a presence, watching me. A few random notes and pops then came out of that organ for a moment... Not surprising, because there were several other spooky occurrences in that cabin through the years. "

This single release is a condensed version of the album track, which is a lot longer, and more progressive, going through several phases. For the full track, visit the album page for "Let's Get Surreal" (2018).
