Livin the Genocide

by Garrison Hawk

Classic reggae melody keeps popping up and this is the sound that truly dominates. “Running Red” could’ve been released as a b-side of a Black Uhuru album back in the day and you can see why Hawk has collaborated with the likes of Tool and Tricky.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Classic reggae melody keeps popping up and this is the sound that truly dominates. “Running Red” could’ve been released as a b-side of a Black Uhuru album back in the day and you can see why Hawk has collaborated with the likes of Tool and Tricky as a heavy tripped-out stoner vibe informs many songs. Well worth seeking out online.

Amazing
Album review: {Livin the Genocide} - Garrison Hawk:
Sweet music: Amazing happy cheerful song, reminds me of Bob Marley.
Garrison Running Red: Very good track, also wonderful Rasta song like Bob’s with a great socially conscious message.
Gangsta Roll: Mix of reggae and rap sweet beat, great track. Also a great message if you listen to the words.
Down in the Ghetto: Also a great song with a great message.
Show Them the Dance: Mix of Dub and Rasta vocals, amazing song. I wan’na know who lay’ed down the beats for this track. Totally off the hook.
