ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In the 1960's Manic Depression wasn't understood. Garys erratic behaviour saw him sent to prison from where he escaped, after capture he was sent to another prison for holding where he consequently set light to his cell. Gary was finally Sectioned and subjected to copious amounts of ECT and experimental drugs over the next two decades. He finally released himself from the pain of suffering; he sadly took his own life. In the words of his family " Gary suffered & died so that others today with this terrible illness could manage it and live". During his helter-skelter life he mixed & worked with the cream of show business with his friend and associate Mickie Most and was in and out of hospital. Gary wrote over 30 songs, for the most part, these were written in the institutions either during his Manic or Depressive stage, just listen to the lyrics. Recorded 45 years ago at the famous De Lane Lea Studios in London, arranged by Nicky Welsh, produced by Mickie Most and engineered by Dave Siddle, discovered last year listen to it today.
