Album Notes
Staten Island's own Gary Owen performs as a solo act (12 string acoustic and vocal). Gary has toured Scandinavia/Europe many times and has released two CD's: "Autumn" and "Summer" (also available here at CD Baby). Each "seasonal" album represents Owen's mood during these certain times of year. Both feature nine originals- one repeated in a foreign language- plus two covers by Monkee Michael Nesmith ("The Girl I Knew Somewhere" & "Silver Moon"). A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

A truly enjoyable CD!
I'm no critic, but I know what I like, and I know enough musicians to know Gary has really got talent. His playing is unbelievable, and his voice is so smooth. I find myself listening to this CD for hours, getting wrapped up in the lyrics and melodies. Of course, I love the Mike Nesmith covers, but I think his originals "Let's Remember Yesterday", "Rte.6", and "Autumn" are my favorite tracks. Absolutely worth every penny!

A delightful treat for your ears!!!
Autumn is a truly wonderful CD! Gary's heartfelt lyrics, soothing voice and true passion for music shine thru beautifully. My favorite tunes are Flying Away, Let's Remember Yesterday and My My My. Autumn is a dreamy instrumental that I love as well! I must say, the Mike Nesmith covers are an excellent addition to Gary's originals. What are you waiting for? Go ahead - order a copy! Enjoy!

I just ordered Gary Owen's CD Autumn. Just have to say that it is a great CD. I am not a music critic, I jut know that I thougt the CD was fabulous. I have listened to it several times since I got it and I loved it.

I purchased both CD's Autumn and Summer. Performances on both CD's have a lot of character, and very upbeat!!Both CD's are nothing short of AWESOME!!! Happy Listening!!!

Great! Great! Great!
After purchasing Gary Owen's CD "Summer", I was inspired to pick up "Autumn" and I must say I am glad that I did. This is one interesting CD. The various styles of playing that Owen performs shows his broad range of talent. "Autumn" features country rock, new age, bluegrass, pop, folk and even a bit of blues. My favorite tracks are the smmoth "Flying Away", the ethereal title track "Autumn", "Let's Remember Yesterday", Mike Nesmith's "The Girl I Knew Somewhere" (I remember buying that 45 way back when)and "They Seemed So Far Away". Pick up this and "Summer". You will be very glad that you did!

Fantastic debut from a real talent
Gary Owen released "Autumn", his first CD, roughly 11 years ago and it remains as fresh and delightful a listen to this day. From his inspired covers of Michael Nesmith's "Girl I Knew Somewhere" and "Silver Moon" to his unforgettable original tunes (particularly, in this reviewer's opinion, "Flying Away", "My My My" and "Let's Remember Yesterday" -- a tune that's been stuck in my brain for the better part of the last decade), Gary Owen's "Autumn" is a personal and artistic triumph topped only, of course, by his second (and latest) CD, "Summer". A more compelling argument for independent musicians over the garbage currently being pushed at us by the major labels you won't find.
