ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
John Gazlay is a singer songwriter with blues roots and intriguing, brooding lyrics. Sometimes referred to as the "master of darkness", Gazlay resurfaced from the void after a long personal struggles which landed him in the grips of skid row. "Gutter Flight", his new cd after his long absence, will take you where he's been and then back again.

John Gazlay is a bluesman with rock and folk leanings, with an interesting mix of darkness, humor and mystery in his songs.

From his early experiences with Tom Waits, to Mose Allison, to a bizarre meeting with John Mayall in the vegetable section of a grocery in Bellingham, Washington, Gazlay's full story can be found at http://johngazlay.com.

Take a listen to this great artist who was almost lost forever!

Very interesting songs! A friend played me the cd and I thought yeah, it's great
The songs are kind of like dark little stories. Very poetic,
a lot of like drama going on. Very original and auto biographical I would guess. I particularly liked "Black Like That" about the blonde hooker shooting up in his bathroom.
A great concept style album!

Fascinating songs! Very original, one of the best lyricists
I've heard in years! Plain Tramp Day was my favorite song on Gutter Flight, but there's a number of them I particularly liked. A great theme album, a great singer songwriter from the underbelly.
