Album Notes
George and his daughter Laurie record unique and creative new arrangements of old and new song favorites in the multiple guitar and vocal styling reminiscent of 1950s recording artists Les Paul and Mary Ford. This CD presents twelve of George and Laurie’s more recent recordings in this style.

George and Les Paul were good friends from the start and had continued their association throughout these many years. George learned a lot from Les, and his engineer Earle Davis, about Les’ recording processes, equipment and guitar playing techniques. Les, in return, was interested in George's Patent of a Fiber Optic Guitar and other applications of fiber optics in music. Their exchanges over the years fostered a lifetime of friendship and mutual respect for each other.

Les loved George and Laurie’s recordings and was fully supportive of their efforts to replicate “his” sound.  In fact, during a weekend visit to Les Paul's home in Mahwah, NJ, Les told George that it was obvious that they had both traveled the same trial and error paths of experimentation, successes, failures, and  perseverance -  and that he considered George to be his recording equal.

George and Laurie are both longtime Grammy Voting Members of The Recording Academy (formerly The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences). George was recently honored with a Lifetime Membership in The Academy for over 38 years of participation. Laurie has recently been awarded a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
