ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This Double Live CD features highlights from a sold out show in March of 2006 at a beautiful small theater in the town of Bellows Falls, VT. George V. Nostrand, a.k.a. George, by George! grew up in this town and made his homecoming a big one – promoting the release of his new CD Radio Songs. He brought with him, not one but two bands to back him up. The first band was a bluegrass-style band featuring fiddle, banjo, and upright bass, as well as an amazing back-up female singer. The second band was more of a rock-style set up w/ drums, percussion, keyboards, bass, and lead guitar. All told ten musicians hit the stage that evening and left their mark.

George decribes his songs as "A Musical Stew" because not only does he mix in influences from folk, bluegrass, blues, traditional, and rock, but he also likes to toss in musicians with a variety of styles together to see what comes out.
