ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The first release from this young Philadelphia-based songwriter, "Gianre" is an uncategorical work that encompasses a wide range of styles.

From the driving opening song "What Do You Expect" to the catchy pop hooks of "Lipstick" to the dense, lush vocal landscapes of "Reaching and Retracting" and "The Bridge, "Gianre" shows the skill Giana Lynn has at crafting moving melodies that are at home in any style.

The orchestral instrumental "Worthy of a Dream" captures Giana's more formal, classical side, while the powerful and rocking "Forbidden" shows how seamlessly she can move from the gentle to the dramatic.

Also included here is Giana's unique and complimentary take on Bastille's "Pompeii", which places the song in a more acoustic arrangement while never losing the power and drive of the original.

Giana's playfulness is on display on "Lipstick (DANCE)", a dance version of "Lipstick" with a nod to 70's disco and 21st century dance music.

"Gianre" is the first release from an artist on the rise! Check out "Gianre" from Giana Lynn!

Amazing!
From the main vocals of Giana Lynn to the angelic voices of the background singers, this CD surprized me from start to finish! Loved the upbeat tempo of the dance version of "Lipstick" & the soulful Romeo & Juliet song! Would love to hear more from this artist in the future! RUN, don't walk to get this!
