Information presented in alphabetical order by artist. Track numbers in brackets.

As Young as I'm Old [2] (Levin)

Adam Levin: keyboards, sampled guitars, vocal, programmed drums.
"A tongue-in-cheek tribute to Gentle Giant that parodies their style, sound, song titles, and other idiosyncrasies (including a Minnear-style vocal and two brief musical quotes)."
An instrumental rendition is on Adam’s CDs "A Different Page" (2006) and "Blissful Behemoth" (2007) — info at

Let Truth Reveal the Beast [1] (Bornemark/Josefsson)

Helena Josefsson: lead vocal
Paul Hoffax: guitar
Bengt Johnson: drums
Dan Bornemark: all other sounds except:
John P. Weathers: additional backing vocals
"Recorded in 1999 during our wonderful project 'The Good Mornings.' Drums were added in fall 2005.
Dedicated to Tobbe Russlander and his right to be a father. Tobbe is still not wanted as the father he is."

Blitz [7] (Bowles)

Ant Bowles: vocals, radio announcer, acoustic and electric guitars, synthesisers and drum programming. Samples from the BBC archive and public domain sources.
"The song commemorates the sixtieth anniversary of The Blitz in WWII London."

GLEN BURG [Canada]

A Farewell [20] (Burg)

"First (and only) recorded version ever, back in my university dorm room in 1997. It’s all me (including my uncle’s homemade plywood mandolin), although I received help from Nathael Babineau for the piano track— he gave me access to the piano room, held the mic as I played, then suggested that the piano fade after the other parts. That last input transformed the track as I see it. Thanks Nat."

JOE BROZIO [Netherlands]

Fragile Hearts [11] (Brozio)
Joe Brozio: nylon string classical guitar.
“This song is just pure music. Me and my guitar. I love it.”

Lookout John [6] (Brozio)

Joe Brozio: guitars
Michael Rejman: bass
Markus Hoffmeister: drums
“This song is strongly influenced by John McLaughlin.”
Both tracks produced by Joe Brozio. Recorded at Arthouse Studios, Germany. Engineered by Torsten Polscheit.

Randy Searches for the Original [8] (Dionysus)

Mark Butler: drums, percussion

Giantiques Arranged and Produced by DAN BORNEMARK

Giantique Giant [13] (Shulman, Shulman, Shulman, Minnear)
“Based on the ‘Giant’ theme, it draws inspiration from ‘Proclamation’ and “Living in a Restaurant.”

Giantique Quartet [5] (Shulman, Shulman, Minnear)
“The cello plays the ‘Glass House’ riff the viola the “Betcha Thought’ riff. Violin 1 plays the ‘I remember’ melody from ‘On Reflection.’ ‘Violin 2 plays A Reunion’ for a couple of bars. The organ is just a Swedish ghost.”

Giantique Aspire [19] (Minnear)

"'Aspirations,' 'Talybont,' and a bit from ‘Schooldays.’ Percussion inpired by the beatbox sounds from 'Winning'."

Giantique for a Day [10] (Shulman, Shulman, Minnear)

"'Proclamation' bass riff 'Pantagruel’s Nativity' tambourine, and an inversion of 'Just the Same' at the end."

The Prince and The Fox [17] (Kowalski)

Darek Mankowski: violin
Alfred James Goodrich: cello
Jeffrey Farrington: piano
"An excerpt from a work based on ‘The ‘Little

This arrangement underscores the classical elements, but there are many parts that dip into
progressive rock.” Copyright © ‘David Kowalski.

Outstanding. What a fantastic surprise this cd is.
As a casual Gentle Giant fan from the late 70s/early 80s I took a chance and ordered this cd...primarily because I felt bad only ordering 1 disc [Henry Gross] last time I was here. WOW!!! A glowing '5'. Outstanding. What a fantastic surprise this cd is. Giant For Another Hour has simply blown me away. Needless to say I'll be ordering their other disc Giant For An Hour VERY shortly. The musicianship and complete sense of song/sense of purpose here is striking. I'm generally not much of a fan of 'tribute' album compilations but it SURE does work when the people involved all GET IT. This cd works...BIG time. It's truly a Giant.
