Album Notes
This album came together in a very synchronistic fashion. I was searching for a studio and producer for a batch of tunes I had written in the last year while promoting my last studio release Still Around. I considered going to LA to record with my old friend Lindsay Tomasic and I considered returning to Nashville. I found out Jim Roll had a studio in Ann Arbor called Backseat productions. I myself am a product of the backseat of a Chevy. My buddy and old band mate, Mike Gentry showed up and we laid down the rhythm tracks. Jesse Morgan played awesome piano and Jim contributed some fantastic Tele stranglin’ as well as percussion and fiddle. Mike also played some incredible guitar parts on My Only Love and Nobody Loves Her. I played Bass and organ as well as the acoustic and my vocals. It all came together the way every artist hopes for and I am very satisfied with the treatment of the songs. The band is a great combo and worked very well with the songs.
