Album Notes
"Elf King's Horn" is a collection of original songs that take you straight into the heart of Faerie. Produced by Brian Henke, the songs are ethereal and full of magic. This is an album you will fall in love with and play over and over!

About the songs...

Fairy Tale - It is the deepest part of the night, when dreams become real... The clock chimes and you become part of the story.
The Elf King's Horn When the Elf King blows his magic horn, true love finds her way home - a beautiful love story!
Golden Bough She stood with the stars in her eyes and the trees whispered soft words of the wise
Celtica A simple Celtic waltz. that started with a melody heard in a dream
Green The Hills As the ship heads to a new land, everything she knows fades into the distance...
Fairies In The Morning Butterflies? Fairies? You decide!
Green The Waters A little song for the Earth where the colors become verbs!
Manannan Mac Lir A daughter of the Celtic sea god longs for her father and her true home...
Fox Fairy Woman Inspired by Selena Fox, the Fox Fairy is one of the most delightful to encounter
Moonlady If a Fairy girl fell in love with a Human boy, how would she get him to join her in the sidhe?
If You Can Dream You have to be able to dream to make love real... never stop dreaming!
Faery Ring If you should find yourself near a Faery Ring, would you step inside?
Mist Wraith The mist moved quickly over the pond and surrounded me... It sparkled and I didn't want to leave...

This project started more than two years earlier around a campsite at a music festival. I was helping Brian Henke with his merchant table and making a bit of music on my own. He stopped to listen and told me that he thought he should produce a CD for me and that it should have a Faery theme. I have to say - I think I agree with him completely!

Brian is a virtuoso of the finger-style acoustic guitar, and he knew exactly how to bring this music to life. Somehow, he really understood the stories that I was telling, and his direction has allowed a deep and mystical beauty to shine through.

The 36 strings of the auto-harp almost become a symphony orchestra at times. The penny whistles call from afar or ring out from the forest to touch your heart. On the song, "Golden Bough" the auto-harp is silent as Brian's guitar provides the perfect stage for the story. He also knew exactly when to bring in the extra voice of a violin, too! "Moonlady" seems to dance right out of a gyspy's fiddle!

Elf King's Horn - Original and Traditional
From the first note to the last, "Elf King's Horn" is sweet, soothing, and just the thing to lighten your heart. Here you will find original tunes within a traditional Celtic musical setting. The instrumentation is lovely - auto-harp, whistles, guitar, fiddle - and deftly blended. The vocals are crystal clear and gentle. As I listened, I could imagine the countryside and the fae. "Green the Hills" is a personal favorite - loved the harmonies. Buy this CD and keep it near for those days when your soul needs a lift and your inner child wants to play.
