ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We just made the FIDS & KAMILY BEST OF 2006 list!
http://fidsandkamily.blogspot.com/

"It is just infectious--in the best possible sense, of course." -Pat Grimes, Grandma

This is good times music for kids. (Pre-schoolers and early elementary kids love these songs.) "Let's Pretend" and "L Is for Llama" are a real hoot for the hand motions, and kids go ga-ga for the goofiness of "Stinky Trash" and "Funny Word Dictionary." Lyrics shoot to tell the truth about kid living.: (“Sometimes I miss the potty, even when I really try. . . .”) Why make this stuff up?

Songs are straight-ahead vocals with a big, fat jumbo Alvarez guitar playing along. The CD promises ten studio tracks--some with expert hand-drumming and other kooky cowbell kind of percussion, others with just enough kiddo back-up vocals to make other little ones want to sing. Another four tracks come out of a live session with a happy bunch of kids and Moms recording together.

Click on the sound clips to get a feel for the CD. It’s loads of fun. Listen for us on the "Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child" and "Loopy Moose" Radio shows. This is the first release of Ginger Hendrix's Buster T. Pumpkinhead Records.

And the reviews are in . . .

"Like Bill Cosby, there are a number of male kids' music artists with a broad sense of humor -- Trout Fishing in America, Robbie Schaefer, Daddy-A-Go-Go, the list goes on. The number of female kids' music artists whose broad sense of humor is apparent in their songs is much smaller. In fact, Laurie Berkner might be the only name that comes to mind, and one name isn't really a list. But with her debut, Macaroni Boy Eats at Chez Shooby Doo (2006), Ginger Hendrix is here to make it a list."

** Stefan for ZOOGLOBBLE

"I love to find moms making great kids' music. And I love it even more when those moms turn out to be smart, funny, and cool – the kind of mom I would want to hang out with at the park or at soccer, if only she would have me. . ."

**Amy Davis for COOL MOM PICKS

Too much fun! Our 11-month-old granddaughter actually gets into the rhythm -- bouncing up and down. I'm ordering more for friends' families with young ones. I love the "live" songs -- and that they are "kid tested." Bring on the sequel.

Fabulous Fun Music- for young and old alike! Hilarous songs!
Absolutely LOVE this cd! Rare to find children's music that both parents and kids can enjoy! As a parent you can relate to the lyrics, yet the songs are fun for the kids! My kids dance, sing, and laugh to this music! I found this to be a great gift for our friends too! It has such a cute and original cover! So glad I found this treasure!
