Album Notes
Now You Know
Thomas Carlyle once said, "Music is well said to be the speech of angels." Yet it is only once in a while that a voice comes along that is a true instrument. It is a gift that elevates us to a higher place where eyes close softly, the body warms and we exhale in the glory that is good

This is Gisele Jackson - a jazz songbird, blues lady, dance hall diva and stage and screen heart warmer. This mercurial girl is one of the voices that will define America's millennium music beat. She sings her heart out and lifts the souls of thousands from Norway to Morocco, and from Paris to New York.

Live Music - The Only Direct Way to the Soul
Ms. Jackson has performed at the nation's leading jazz
houses including Tavern on the Green, Tattoo, Maxims, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Supper Club in New York, and Blues Alley in Washington, DC. Ms. Jackson has also performed as the opening act for Tito Puente, Bette Midler, Ricky Martin, Cleo Lane, Eddie Palmieri, The Commodores, the B-52's, Tania Maria, Deodato and Ahmad Jamal. Her other credits include international performances at festivals around the world, including Austria, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Switzerland, Hungary, Monaco, Morocco and Norway; celebrity weddings; and at numerous corporate events for companies such as Mazda Motor Corp., SAS/Braathens Airlines and Siemens. Hollywood also looks to Ms. Jackson to entertain guests at their East Coast premieres as she also performed at the New York premiere for Paramount Pictures' DeLovely staring Kevin Kline.

In Case You Can't Get There...
Visit Ms. Jackson on wax. Billboard magazine called Ms. Jackson a "rising diva" on the heels of her worldwide club smash hit, "Love Commandments." The single reached No. 3 on Billboard's dance chart, catapulting Ms. Jackson into the hierarchy of house music and into the consciousness of the dance community. This power track garnered heavy play from every top house music DJ in the world, with many of them placing it at #1 in rotation on their charts. Her performance skills have brought down the house at Vinyl and Twilo in New York City and at Billboard Live and Axis in Los Angeles.

Multi-Talented - It's True!
Her stage credits include performances as Effie in Dream Girls, Bessie in the Life & Death of Bessie Smith, Evilene in The Wiz, Lutiebelle in Purlie and Frankie in Carmen Jones. Gisele has done several commercials, as well as radio and television productions, including Paramount Pictures' The First Wives Club. Ms. Jackson honed her performance skills while obtaining a bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from Howard University and is a founding member of DIVA, Inc. - The Society for Women in the Arts, a national organization that supports the career development of women who have chosen the arts as a profession.
