Album Notes
After 40 years of playing with the world's most legendary jazz performers, Geoff Kluke and his wife Jan have invited many of their famous friends into the studio to record Geoff's most personal work to date: Like It Is: A Dedication.
The album has been made in memory of Jan's son Luke who, had bipolar disorder and took his own life in 1999, aged 28.

Like It Is: A Dedication is a collection of jazz, standards, R&B and pop tunes and features Australian and international
jazz legends including Bob Sedergreen, Paul Williamson, Gil Askey, Russell Smith, Mike Jordan, Bridgette Allen, and cameo
performances by Alex Hutchinson and Julia Messenger. Highlights include interpretations of modern classics such as,
'Nature Boy', 'Blackbird' and 'I'll Be Seeing You.'

The album is a tribute to Jan's son Luke Murray. The album features drawings by Luke, a gifted artist.

'Luke was a loving son, a compassionate and intelligent young man. The CD is a tribute to his memory, borne of great love'
says Jan.

Geoff says, 'we hope that these beautifully expressed interpretations will be enjoyed by many. It was a great pleasure for
us to bring together such wonderful musicians, many of whom are living legends within the Australian jazz scene'.

About Geoff.
Geoff Kluke began his performing career in the late 1960's. His broad jazz and improvisation experience was gained through
working with an impressive range of Australian and international musicians including Herb Ellis, Nat Adderley, Charlie Byrd
and Lee Konitz among many others. As a freelance musician he has worked with orchestras, big bands and studio bands playing
either double or electric bass. Geoff also teaches at the Victorian College of the Arts.

All proceeds from the sale of the album will go to support SANE Australia's work on suicide prevention.
