ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ross (percussion) and Màiri (harp) met at the RNCM in Manchester while studying on the BMus (Hons) degree in performance. They first got together to perform 'Inertia' for Clàrsach (celtic harp), Marimba & CD which Màiri had written for her final recital exam and the rest is history! They discovered an enchanting musical connection between them and wondered why they had never tried the combination before! Before long they were jamming and having a wonderful time creating new compositions and traditional folk arrangements. Their musical backgrounds are completely different. Màiri hails from the Gaelic Oral tradition in the highlands and islands of Scotland while Ross is steeped in the Jazz music scene. Together they form a fusion of music so electrifying they could easily create their own genre. Their contemporary nature is brought out in their eclectic personalities, which are so finely tuned you’d think they were communicating via telepathy. Their original compositions and innovative arrangements will blow you away. You’ll love this powerful duo!
