Album Notes
Who We Are:
Global Block Collective is a HIp Hop group featuring husband and wife MC duo, George Rithm Martinez and Clara Sylara Guerrero, and consists of ad-hoc members from around the world.

Rithm is a pioneering MC/ educator and political activist, and was the #UnsignedHype (Ground Zero) in the Source Magazine. He is the 1st Hip Hop artist elected to political office in New York. He is the 2nd Hip Hop Ambassador for the US Department of State and has conducted Hip Hop diplomacy missions around the world. In 2012, he ran for the US House of Representatives with a Occu/Hip Hop inspired, grassroots campaign called Bum Rush The Vote earning a Village Voice cover story.

Sylara is a founding member of the Global Block Collective and in 2012 was featured on Illest Female Rappers Volume 19. She has performed with GBC throughout the world and aims to inspire women and mothers everywhere to keep striving for their dreams!

About This Album:
The songs recorded on this album were developed and inspired through front line experiences as Hip Hop activists-artists from the within the convergence movement known as Occupy Wall Street. They represent important elements of the soundtrack of the movement in NYC.
