ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Gloria Jane began singing when she was three years old. First in church and then later on stage. She wrote her first song, a country gospel tune, "Praise The Lord" when she was 16.

Gloria Jane's talent, both for singing and writing, took her further as she won the 1983 Plain City Corn Festival Talent Contest singing another one of her songs, "Madison County"

In 1984 Gloria Jane went into the studio and recorded "You're My Shining Star" another song she wrote and that song took Gloria Jane all the way to the semifinals in The Marlboro Country Music Contest.

Richmond Virginia's very own "Chuck Spera" turned out a compilation CD with Gloria Jane titled, "Madison County"

Gloria Jane is a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, better known as ASCAP. You will find her listed with ASCAP, not only under her artist name as a Singer and Author but you can also find her listed under Thistle Patch Publishing.
