ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In order to know where you are going, you have to know where you have been. Unlike some of todays new emcees, Graffiti Jones knows hip-hops past. His meticulous study of his craft has allowed him to form himself into a new, more dangerous type of emcee. Cerebral at times, Jones says, his style is not conscious, it is just awake. Graffiti is able to think on a higher level as evidenced by his banger Tetris in which he analyzes the blocks you find in the ghetto as opposed to the courts and lanes you find in the suburbs. Jones club single Where Ya At!?!!, with frequent Dead Prez collaborator, Tahir, proves that there is also a time to party and have fun. Bridging the gap between underground and mainstream, Jones is able to maintain respect from fans all across the board. He hopes to breakdown the barriers that keep fans from embracing both styles. With his debut album titled Seven, scheduled for release late summer 2006, we are all headed towards a new united hip-hop front.

nice!
Good stuff! I really don't like most hip hop but a friend of mine told me about this guy. I like the more lyrical and abstract stuff on the album. Overall, I give it a 8 out of 10.

This is by far one of the best CD's this year!!!!
This CD has beats for clubs with lyrics to listen too. With lyrics to teach young black youth about racism and police brutalty + slavery that still goes on in this world today. When will it stop? Never, but everybody deserves the right to be informed of what goes on in the community. If you want to see the big picture buy the album.............

Bring that Hip-Hop back!!!
...and that's exactly what this album accomplishes. I wanted to come up with something great to say for this album but, truth be told, the album speaks for itself. From Graffiti's mental dictation and evolution of history to life...real life, this album paints picture's with carefully crafted word play. I guess thats why they call you Graffiti. Thank you!!! Is all I can say...and please remember one thing...your work is very important to alot of people. PEACE!
