ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The songs in this collection were all inspired by one artist’s show. Michael Orwick had a show at ART Elements Gallery in Newberg, Oregon entitled ‘Strength & Serenity”. I was struck by his paintings and needed to learn more. I found that he describes his inspirations and goals almost exactly as I do. When I spoke with him about this project, a song composed while looking at each painting, he was excited by the idea. He said “I'll turn the tables on you and also paint based on your music. It is truly beautiful. When I paint I typically listen to piano arrangements, often on repeat.”
It was meant to be. Art and music are one.
As always, thank you for listening.
Greg Maroney
