ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Gretchen Anderson was born to people with music flowing from their hearts. Starting on piano and expanding to banjo, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle, Gretchen was singing as the third generation in family gatherings. Now, years later her musical styles have grown far beyond those roots to reflect the sounds of Patty Larkin, Rory Block, David Wilcox, Gayla Drake-Paul, and of course her own originals.
Gretchen's originals stand on powerful guitar performances with thought provoking and insightful lyrics. Hinging on contemporary folk and blues, her performance finds appeal with a wide audience range. Gretchen is booking house concerts, coffee houses, festivals and colleges.

Awesome and versatile!
I'd add another name to musicians Gretchen will remind you of: Loretta Lynn. Country, blues, folk--this CD has it all and does it all!
