ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the Inside was the product of 2 things
1) the tragic loss of my father to asbetosis and
2) the commencement of writing music specifically for solo violin with simple nylon string guitar backing ( the purists will not approve)but I wanted music that lay people could associate with.
The music was written and is played purposely to covey the feeling associated with the composer (myself)loss at the time.
This final track Come Walk With Me has been selected many times to replace the traditional bridal march for weddings and I think this is because it conveys uplifting melodic structure.
One of the violins played on this CD is of European descent and it is very mellow almost like a viola and sometimes even flute like.
I like writing for solo violin.
I also sing and write ballads
Regards jg
ps.- There is a follow up to this album see "Angelique" released May 2011.
