ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"I have gotten to know G Rockwell, the wunderkind banjo and guitar player. This kid is a monster! ...Expect big things from this fellow" - Randy Barrett of Blugerass Country Radio Foundation (Putney Post- Fall 2018)

"Breathtaking bluegrass performance by G Rockwell brought people to a standing ovation" - R. A. Schuetz (CT Post)

Multiple award winning musician G Rockwell's album showcases why he has won banjo and guitar competitions throughout the country. With a combination of many original songs, and respect for the traditions of bluegrass, gypsy swing and old time; the album is both progressive and traditional in it's feel. The album is produced by Stash Wyslouch, who is widely known for his innovative approach to traditional music.

The album's band are all award winning musician's in their own right, hailing from the Boston area. Korey Brodsky (mandolin), Sofia Chiarandini (fiddle), and Noah Harrington (bass) bring G's compositions to life with incredible instrumentation. Wyslouch also plays guitar on some of the tracks, the contrast between his and Rockwell's styles brings an energy to the music that is fresh and enlivened. In G's words, "this is a band that can drive and swing."
