Ifryquia – Our arrangement of “Desert Trance” from Dalia Carella’s CD “Shuvani”. Dedicated to Dalia, Souren Baronian and company. Recorded with permission.

Carlos – Original composition dedicated to Carlos Santana.

Fanga – A traditional welcome rhythm and dance of the Vai people of Liberia.

Rahat – Inspired by the Sultana Ensemble’s “Dabka”.

Avalon – Original composition featuring finger cymbals.

Naseem – Original composition based on chiftitelli.

Alexia – Original drum solo written and arranged by Dave Merritt & Kim Leary.

Soli – Traditional Malinke initiation rhythm and dance from Guinea.

Hey Pocky-A-Way – Our version of this New Orleans classic is dedicated to The Meters.

Mandiana – Original American Tribal Style music.

Sinte/Soliwoulen – Two traditional West African rhythms from Guinea: A celebration dance of the Nalou people followed by a Malinke fetish maker’s “Red Panther” dance.

Open & Close – An all percussion arrangement of the Africa 70 Afrobeat classic. Dedicated to Fela Kuti & Tony Allen.

Moribayassa – A traditional West African dance & rhythm of the Malinke from Northeast Guinea. Danced by a woman has overcome a great difficulty.
