ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Entering their 15th year as one of America's longest running Brazilian choro groups, SF Bay Area based Grupo Falso Baiano releases their 3rd CD "Depois", featuring covers of Brazilian choro classics, original compositions exploring a variety of Brazilian rhythms, and special guest vocalists Moyseis Marques and Ana Carbatti (each from Rio de Janeiro) on a handful of sambas.

Over the course of the 12 tracks, the band can be heard in their classic quartet configuration, as well as stretching their wings with special guests, layers of percussion and horns and an expansive take on Brazilian music that captures their high energy sound and inventive tight arrangements the band is known for. Featuring 5 songs by guitarist Brian Moran, they seamlessly weave their American roots with their love of Brazilian samba, choro, frevo and baião.
