ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Guilderoy Byrne performs traditional and contemporary songs, tunes, and stories. Music includes Celtic and
international selections played on a variety of acoustic, folk instruments.

Greg Byrne on vocals & guitars. Co-founding member of two longstanding traditional groups: Lexington, KY-based Mad Catherine & the Moondog Pirates, and Louisville, KY-based
Galloglas. Has performed throughout the USA and Canada as both soloist and group member. Native of Covington, KY whose father’s family immigrated to the USA from Ireland in 1842 by way of Philadelphia. Mother’s family is Scottish.
“My father’s family are the drinkers, but my mother’s family are the singers!”

Mark Cannon on vocals, whistle, flute, mandolin, fiddle & percussion. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist. There is not a traditional instrument Mark hasn't played or contemplated playing! Former member of traditional group
Ten Penny Bit, and a well-known band leader for local and regional folk dances. Mark is an excellent singer and contributes stirring vocal pieces to the group’s performances. He'll also delight audiences with hilarious drinking songs on occasion!

Danette Rhoads on fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and bass. Danette brings an eclectic blend of fiddle playing to the band using clean, lyrical lines that reflect influences of bluegrass, classical, and folk music. A classically trained
violinist since age 5, she also began bluegrass fiddle lessons to ensure a diverse musical experience. A former member of Louisville, KY-based Celtic band Galloglass, she was most recently a member of Skean Dubh, an Irish band based out of Denver, CO. She has also written original tunes and performed at many music festivals, including Aspen, Tanglewood, and the Kentucky Folk Festival.

Tiffany Taylor on vocals & percussion. 15+-year music career as a soloist and ensemble member. Introduced to contemporary and traditional music at an early age by parents who were gifted entertainers in their own right.
Has performed with the notable Louisville, KY Voces Novae chorus and numerous regional recording artists including Terry White, Gary Falk, Bernie Schweickart, and Rick Bartlett. Holds a Masters in Arts Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington.
