Album Notes
This is Hal Cannon’s first album of all-original music featuring members of Red Rock Rondo, and other Utah musicians. Hal has spent his life playing music, including 30 years with Utah’s beloved Deseret String Band, and his unique take on the American West is informed as well by his work as a folklorist, the Founding Director of the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, and a regular voice on National Public Radio. The CD was assembled by legendary producer Jim Rooney (who has produced Nanci Griffith, Iris DeMent, John Prine, Don Edwards and Paul Zarzyski), and was arranged by Phillip Bimstein
