Album Notes
Haley, 12, was the All Ireland Champion in 2013 taking 1st in both under 12 solo fiddle and under 12 fiddle slow airs. She is a multiple time All Ireland medal winner. She is also the 2015 Junior Fiddler of Dooney.

Haley started Suzuki violin lessons at 3 years old. Her talent and love of playing was quickly recognized. Before her 5th birthday, while attending a concert by fiddler Kevin Burke, Haley fell in love with Irish music. She started teaching herself fiddle tunes from Kevin's How to Play Celtic Fiddle DVD and by listening to his CD. In July 2009, after winning her first MidAtlantic under 12 Irish fiddle competition at six years old, she met fiddling great Brian Conway who became her teacher. By April 2014, Haley was a 6X MidAtlantic Region under 12 Irish fiddle champion (possibly a record!).

"Haley is young woman who has developed her own sound while remaining absolutely faithful to Irish Traditional playing. The proof is in the listening!

Many superlatives come to mind when I think of Haley but I keep coming back to the word integrity. Haley's playing is infused with an integrity that comes from disciplined hard work and unwavering focus on one simple goal: to play the music with a traditional Irish sound. I first heard Haley play at the ripe old age of six at a Fleadh in NY, and immediately knew this young lady had talent! Shortly after her seventh birthday she started studying with me, learning the nuances of the Sligo style while listening to a wide variety of Irish fiddle styles It was a joy watching her grow from that precocious, poised, classically trained student into the fiddler she is today. She is blessed in having parents who wholeheartedly support her in her studies and the results speak for themselves. She has remained faithful to her musical routes and resisted any temptation to cut corners. She has already established herself as an artist with her own unique sound and I am confident that as Haley grows as a fiddle player, and continues to establish her own voice, that her musicianship will reflect this bedrock upon which it is built. I feel truly blessed for having a role in Haley's development and am delighted to be appearing on her first recording."

~Brian Conway

"If you weren’t aware that Haley Richardson was still a young child of 12, the maturity of her fiddle playing would give nothing away. In fact, her superb grasp of the essence of Irish music and its vast canon of beautiful melodies has already produced great wonderment at her skills and comfort both in performance and competition. I am in total awe of what she has achieved already at the highest levels at the Fleadh and on many festival and concert stages and look forward to watching her develop further into the ranks of the greatest fiddlers in Irish-American history. Her promise knows no bounds."

~Paul Keating –Irish Voice Columnist (From the Hob).

Haley is joined on this album by her brother, Dylan Richardson, on guitar and bouzouki. Dylan, 17, is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, and Irish bouzouki. He enjoys all types of music but prefers backing Irish music. Dylan decided he wanted to accompany his sister for a local talent show in May 2008 and has been playing with her since. He studied guitar with Mark Sutton at Music Central in Vineland and took a few Irish style lessons with Zach Leger in CA using Skype and classes at Swannanoa Gathering's Celtic Week with John Doyle and Eamon O'Leary. Dylan is self taught on banjo, bouzouki, and mandolin. He likes to compose as well.
