Album Notes
hALF wHEEL is Pittsburgh, PA's favorite instrumental rock duo. Their first album, "Ride" was used as the soundtrack for the documentary "Bicycling The Southern Tier" and spent the following year on ReverbNation's top ten charts for Pittsburgh, PA. They followed up that release with the self titled "hALF wHEEL". This album is the third full length album to be released by hALF wHEEL.

hALF wHEEL consists of Jazz Byers (guitar, Strumstick, bass, drums, keyboards) and Sean Nestor (lead guitar). The two are known for playing in the rock band Homicide Black, an east coast touring band who's major influence is Black Sabbath, although the two bands share no similarities in musical style.

The album was recorded at Rattle Clack Entertainment in Pittsburgh, PA and was mixed by Mike Ofca, at Innovation Studios in Steubenville, OH.

"Laniakea" is an instrumental concept album that takes the listener on a journey through the solar system, starting at the Sun and ending in the immeasurable heavens. Each song represents a different celestial body.

In addition to Jazz Byers and Sean Nestor, the album contains some additional guest musicians, which include:

Keith Decker – bass guitar on “Sol Invictus”
Danny Corso – additional lead guitar on “Messenger Of The Gods”
Mike Ofca – additional electric guitar on “Venusian Skies”
