Album Notes
Hannah Lindroth has been singing and writing her own brand of soulful country-tinged rock since the age of 13, when she got her first hand-me-down guitar from her dad, Peter. The acoustic guitar had been on tour with him during his stint as Sweden's equivalent of Rod Stewart. Her childhood was immersed in Swedish rock, early American punk, British Invasion and old soul.

Hannah was 8 years old; sitting in the back seat of her parent's VW bug, when she first knew that music was her only future. The Pretenders' "Kid" was on the radio, Chrissie Hynde's voice filled the car, speaking directly to Hannah and she thought, "This is what I'm meant to do." This tenacious desire is still propelling her forward.

At 21 Hannah left Stockholm and came to New York on a quest. Less than two hours after her plane landed, five-foot-four blue-eyed Hannah knocked on a stranger's door, looking to use the phone. Yancy Drew, drummer of Brooklyn Funk Essentials (the all-star session players of urban music) and future producer, opened the door and let her in for a collaboration no one could have predicted. She stood in the middle of his living room shivering with her guitar case strapped to her back; he asked, "What are you a musician or something?" She replied, "I'm here to start a band." He said "So play something for me." Hannah tuned for a moment and then broke into "Ready to Fly." Her powerful voice stunned him. He asked her to come by The Smokeshop, the studio he shared with guitarist Jarrett Light. One jam session and they were a band.

They embarked on a small project with an attainable goal, a four-song demo. The progression to a full-length album was natural and seemingly unstoppable. Dangerous Love features 10 original tracks that now form the backbone of Hannah's live show. A prolific songwriter, her shows now include another dozen songs.
