ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hannah Kaminer is a North Carolina artist and singer-songwriter. Raised in small towns in Western North Carolina, she fuses echoes of mountain traditions with broadly appealing, Americana-style songwriting. Her homemade, haunting alto and sweet melodies carry heartfelt lyrics about love, loss, and home.

The songs on "Acre by Acre" are distinctive in their haunting, raw quality, and the way that they are grounded in the Blue Ridge Mountains, though not traditional bluegrass or Appalachian music.

A songwriting competition brought her out of her living room and venturing into the Western North Carolina music scene. Following her warmly received EP (released November 2013), recorded in a friend's living room, she recorded "Acre by Acre" at Echo Mountain Studios in the summer of 2014 in Asheville, NC.
