Album Notes
Hans Cato Kristiansen, a merited musician from Lier in Norway. His debut Solo album, A Long Ride, released in January 2018, has been praised by Norwegian critics.

The lyrics of "Adrift on the Waves" is written by Tommy Sydsæter – a legendary Norwegian cartoonist, known from Norsk Mad, Pyton, Vazelina Bilopphøggers, to name some of his merits. The single was recorded at Knut Ingolf Brenna's studio in Lier, and is produced by Hans Cato Kristiansen and Knut Ingolf Brenna.

Hans Cato is famous for his beautiful harmonies, and we know this versatile musician as both an outstanding vocalist, drummer, percussionist, guitar player and songwriter.

Hans Cato Kristiansen has backed the Norwegian artist Jonas Fjeld on numerous of recordings since the early 90’s, and has been part of Fjeld’s band since 2011. In 2015 he also contributed, together with Jonas Fjeld, in Judy Collins’ English version of Fjeld’s monster hit, “Angels in the snow”.

Hans Cato Kristiansen is also known as lead vocalist and drummer in the band “Remme Brothers Band”. The band has released two albums, “Remme Brothers Band”, 2005, and “Tomorrow’s Comin’” in 2010. The last album received two prices at the Rootsy Award 2010; “This Year's Americana / Rock Album Norway” and “This Year’s Duo / Band Artist Norway”. Other nominees were Hellbillies, Sivert Høyem, Narum, Bill Both and Tommy Tokyo.

Previous reviews:
“The band's foremost asset Hans Cato Kristiansen has an unprecedented raw and bluesy voice, as anyone probably recalls from Mulens Portland Combo's debut album "Blå Stikke". With the feel of three-day beardballs and a raw appeal like a Delbert McClinton without a safety net. In Norway, not many can match his presence behind the drum set, when he occasionally harmonizes as a Don Henley. Maybe nobody! » Bluesnews 21 december 2010.

“…In front of it all is the drummer! It is simply a mystery that the kingdom has not previously attached the search engine to Hans Cato Kristiansen. He sounds like native English, and sings ballads (few of them) as good as heavy, up-tempo rock songs. Sometimes he is so similar to Eric Clapton that he could be accused of sampling.” Arild Rønsen, 2010
