Album Notes
2nd Chances is a new single from the Happy Curmudgeons that will also be on their second release due in early 2020. This is the first release for the band single their debut album - Meant 2 Be in 2017. Amy Dixon-Lavery wrote the lyrics and pours her amazing vocals into this song. Dave Hamilton wrote the music and adds his acoustic guitar into the mix. The track was produced and mixed by Mark Byerly (from the Bob Seger Band). Byerly co-produced Meant 2 Be, but has the reigns for this second project. The track is loaded with talented musicians: Amy Dixon-Lavery (lead vocals), Dave Hamilton (acoustic guitars), Jeff Warner (electric guitar), Takashi Iio (Detroit Music Award Winner on bass), Rick Beamon on drums, Jim "Moose" Brown (from the Bob Seger Band on Hammond B3 organ), David Payton (violin) and Chaz Oswley (cello), Mark Byerly on keyboards and string arrangement, and Laura Creamer - Barbara Payton - Cathleen Wiley (backing vocals). 2nd Chances was recorded at Longview Sound in Rochester Hills, MI and mastered by Third Man Records in Detroit by Bill Skibbe. This song is about forgetting your past regrets and having faith in finding a new direction in life with someone new along for the ride.
