Ten Songs in the Key of 3

by Harmonic North

Original, eclectic, gorgeous three-part vocal music with jazz, pop and classical influences. Their unique sound is like a beacon of harmonic truth that cuts through the fog of today's over-produced, auto-tuned a cappella music.

Album Notes
Harmonic North is a vocal music recording project led by composer, arranger and producer James Meyers. He is joined by William (Bill) Eddy, Warren Tessier, and occasionally a ukulele. These three men have been singing together since 1991 when they founded the original Five O'Clock Shadow. Harmonic North materialized in 2010, and these "Ten Songs in the Key of Three" were mostly recorded over several long weekend sessions where the lads migrated together to set up, learn, rehearse and record new music over a period of three to four days.

Although they all trained in classical vocal performance, in their regular lives these gentlemen are husbands, fathers, a doctor, an engineering manager, an office manager and many other things besides musicians. They are grateful for this oasis into one of the things they love most, which is harmonizing together. Harmonic North is like a compass in that sense, and periodically brings them back together in search of the perfect chord.
