ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
NONCHALANT; Harmonious Wail
Clever meets mature. No "cheese" here, this highly capable, tightly cultured Wisconsin-based ensemble has produced a Gypsy "plus" treasure, " Nonchalant," their third. Featuring vocals along with the more traditional guitar, bass, and percussion, master mandolinist Sims Delaney-Potthoff charms us with tender virtuosity. Special credit to him also for bringing the tenor guitar out of the background and into it's legitimate role as solo instrument. If you aren't snapping your fingers along with this CD, check with your cardiologist-you have no pulse!

Great new music from "vintage wine."
HW plays music inspired from different classic styles, but makes it their own, the mark of a great band. "All wails that ends Wail."

Foot tapping music with lots of mandolin
Django would have enjoyed hearing Nuages and Minor Swing as played on this CD. Good acoustic music.

Absolutely professional and a very "tight" band
As a Madison Wisconsin native I am partial to this band, who is from Mad-Town. Madison, a capitol city and college town, is becoming a music mecca similar to Austin Texas. Harmonious Wail is at the top of the list as a professional sounding, tight group to represent this city. Bravo!

Great Swing/Django Sound
I've got this and one other of their CD's .. 'cause of hearing them on NPR as a music "button" between news topics. Wow. Nice to hear something unique and very well done both.
