ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We wondered whether if as men we could write an album of songs from the point of view of women, whether or not we have is for you rather than us to decide. I'd met Zoe Caryl some time before and she agreed to sing them for us, later on her husband Kenny Plenderleith agreed to play some guitar on a couple of the tracks so if you hear some delicate, exquisite guitar on here it's him rather than me. Both of them have an illustrious career in the world of music, film and theatre and have raised our writing to a completely different level. Recorded exclusively here in rural mid-France, both in my own studio and Zoe and Kenny's Boutonne Rouge studio, we've tried to make the songs not just melodic and memorable but also thoughtful and pertinent. I hope you enjoy this album, we've worked as hard as we possibly can on it.
