Album Notes
Lloyd sings for the pure enjoyment of singing. He writes songs that are honest, sad, funny, serious and down right strange. A lot of the time, you get all this in one song, like "Hello Mabel" and for sure you get it "The Brotherhood" and my favorite; "Joe's Church Bar & Grill." You have to listen to his songs, they may not always end exactly the way you think they will. You can check out his Bio on his CD American Country Love Songs and on Hard Liquor and Soft Women here on CDBaby.com...

These songs are fun and serious and EASY TO LEARN, so sit back and just enjoy, Singing should tell stories, bring back memories and enhance the present and influence the future.

Then there are times when singins is just plain old fun and good for the lungs.

HONKY TONK GOSPEL is Gospel (Sort of) CD. The songs here tell it like it really is.
*** THE BROTHERHOOD - An honsest song about an honest man and his "trying" to get it right.

*** BAR ROOM PREACHER-Strong Song about The Good Lord pops up in the least expected places.

*** THE BALLAD OF THE BAR ROOM PREACHER- Tons of email about hearing Bar Room Preacher - people wanted to know just who the bar room preacher was or is. This story tells his story.

*** SONG OF PRAISE- Traditional country styled song of praise-inspired by Lloyd Haymon's dad..."Every morning he would get up and shout to the top of his lungs, "Your will Lord, you will, not mine!" Then the day would begin.

***TURNED MY BACK ON JESUS- Another classic ballad by Lloyd that just goes to show you that although we are mostly "Fickle" the good Lord is not.

***GETTING YOUNGER EVERY DAY-Upbeat ballad about taking on a whole new slant about becoming a "Seasoned Citizen."

***SCARY THINGS- This powerful song allows you to watch the news and not "worry" about it.

***JESUS MY LORD-Strong, from the heart ballad about discovering the power of our Lord, more a prayer than a song.

***DOWN ON MY KNEES- Lloyd doing what he does best, telling a story about younger days and coming "Full circle."

***HELLO MABEL?- Strong, powerful, funny song about, well, that old boy you think you got rid of years ago... well thing again... Funny, funny, funny.

***A PLACE I USED TO BE- Another original song by Lloyd about a good old boy making a wrong turn and winding up in his "Past."

***LOOKING FOR JESUS? The most controversal songs every written by Lloyd, the email from listeners offered a different view... that kind of response to a song means it is a classic and should be heard.

***HE HOLDS ME-The follow-up to LOOKING FOR JESUS? This is one powerful song and one of the most popular songs that Lloyd does. Give it a listen.

***JESUS COMING SOON- A long time ago a little boy was held by his mother during a frightening night time storm and how the boy never forgot.

***TIME TO GO TO CHURCH-Another song of Lloyd at his best, telling a story about a time long ago and how no matter what your parents do for you... you still make the final decisions in your life.

***MY BEST FRIEND DIED TODAY- When you first see the title, if you're like me you think of another story... this one is well, let's put it this way... "With this kind of friend... who needs enemies?

***IT'S HER AGAIN- Ballad about a cheater, cheating on his wife, his girlfriend and his kids... then he meets St. Peter... you have to hear this one, especially if you're a person who was ever cheated on.

***JOE'S CHURCH, BAR & GRILL - I fell out of my chair the first time I heard this song, you will be dancing, clapping your hands, laughing and who knows what else... I love this song...
Vance Ryder- Long time friend and official Pusher of this guy to keep writing and singing...

You will never hear these songs in church, but then Lloyd has never been one to just "Sing to the choir."

You will probably meet someone you know, have known or heard about here, you might just meet yourself.

Lloyd tried some of them out on his Pentecostal relatives and they all agree that most of them are "Downright Sinful." He did note that while they were saying this, they were tapping their toes to the tunes.
That was good enough for this master hypnotist, ordained minister and Story-Teller Supreme.

Lloyd wanted them honest, well trust me "Honest" is what you get with this CD. Enjoy.

The singer is an honest man, honest voice... powerful
The lyrics this man writes all tell tremendous stories. He covers everything, gospel, country and honky tonk. I hope his next one is out soon.
