Album Notes
Yes, it's pop music, yes, it's "got a tune" and yes, it's got a lineage right back to the art school scene of 1970's English rock. But the sound of Head Of Light Entertainment, even ten years into their musical odyssey, remains almost impossible to pigeon-hole. Partially, that's down to the wildly differing influences of the four band members (Sparks, Japan, Regina Spektor, Adam and The Ants for starters!), and partially down to a shared natural aversion to covering ground already explored by other artists. But it's more likely just a happy accident, a by-product of how Carl, Simone, Graeme and John sound when making music together. The usual labels of "quirky", "off-beat" and "left-field" all apply, but essentially consider Head Of Light Entertainment as an original, free spirited pop band with some unusual ideas. And if that doesn't make much sense, please check out HOLE's three albums and one single, all available on CD Baby. Intrigue is an aphrodisiac...
