ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Vocalist Megan Porcaro Herspring has been kindly compared to Susan Tedeschi, Natalie Merchant, and Tracy Chapman. “Her voice is ‘radio ready” says studio owner Tim Hatfield of CTS Brooklyn, who helped the band finish their 2nd record.

“Everlasting” was written and produced by guitarist Tom Nelson, and features 8 original songs, plus a cover of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”

The new release also features strong guest performances by violinist Lorenza Ponce (Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi), keyboardist Rob Arthur (Peter Frampton Band), percussionist Bashiri Johnson (Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder), and sax player Crispin Cioe (The Uptown Horns). Other friends who helped make the record include Tory Ridder, Bruce Rose, Greg Schettino, Matt Graff, Amanda Homi, John Keener, Rebecca Havilland, and Jim Nelson.

John Platt, legendary on-air host at WFUV-FM 90.7, said the band’s 1st album “impressed me with its songs and musicianship.” For the past year, Heathcote Hill has been honing their live act with performances at venues including The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, and more.

"When I first heard Heathcote Hill's new album ‘Everlasting,' I was blown away by the power of the vocals and instrumentation...
I must admit I am hooked on ‘California’ and ‘Rain All Night.'”
-- Michael Friedman, Skope Magazine @skopemag

“I loved their first record, ‘Reinforcements’ and this one’s better.”
-- Andy Hilfiger, Fashion and music executive
