Album Notes
MIDNIGHT FAITH is a true concept album. While incredibly diverse in style, this album has a running thread of a nighttime theme which seams the original songs and styles together into one cohesive work. Using her unique signature approach to songwriting, Heather Sorenson combines different genres together to create a blend of sound that is characteristic of her music. The first phrase of the title song speaks to the inspiration for the project: “Faith looks different in the dark.”

This album was engineered and produced by Todd Whitelock, recipient of 8 Grammys, and engineer to celebrities world-wide including Wynton Marsalis, Idina Menzel, Chick Corea, Bette Midler, Josh Groban, Yo-Yo Ma, Harry Connick, Jr., Kristin Chenoweth, Sting, Willie Nelson, Renee Fleming, Itzhak Perlman, Isaac Stern, the Boston Pops, the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway Shows, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and many others.

Heather Sorenson is a Dallas songwriter and composer, whose works are performed in churches, universities, and concerts worldwide. She is contracted by the Hal Leonard Corporation, the largest print music publisher in the world, and has hundreds of compositions in print through various publishing houses. Initially recognized for her skill as a pianist, she is now widely known for her choral, piano, and orchestral works. Heather has appeared multiple times at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Constitution Hall. Although she is internationally known as a choral composer and pianist, Heather’s new album "Midnight Faith" shows her musical diversity, as she dabbles in folk, Christian, jazz, original classical, and her own signature singer-songwriter style.
