Album Notes
Heather wrote 'Life is a Fast Track' as a theme song for Heather's community Story Lounge Concert series. It has become a bit of an anthem tune, welcoming folks into a friendly universal atmosphere of togetherness.
For over twenty years, she has been building her songwriting and storytelling skills as a professional, mostly in the children's arena in schools and libraries and at festivals. She designs specific sets to perform solo or with other artists for her adult audiences, and guest appears for House Concerts, Songwriting, Writing, Folk, and Storytelling concerts.
Heather loves drawing her audineces in to feel emotion, sing, and generally feel part of a family in community.

"You have such warmth and personality, and the ability to bring together
a whole room full of people in a very comfortable way. Your Argentine friend mentioned that you inspired her to become a
storyteller. I can see why! Anna Kertz author and storyteller

"Your songs were very, very moving to me last night--the words, the sound of the strings; the tenor of your voice delighted me". Jack Howard, storyteller and research librarian at the Royal Ontario Museum

"I love your voice ....It's was lovely.... I see you developing into your own unique style wavering throughout the music ...whether a blues tune folkie or contemporary....And of course your own tunes sooo special....and touching. Bluesy cool gal!" Audience member

A terrific start!
I've seen Heather Whaley perform live a number of times and she's brilliant. Her first single Life is a Fast Track is a damn good start.
