ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sonya Heller writes "Music for the masses that gets real personal." A streetsmart soothsayer with ruby red lips and a voice too good to be true. Road worn jeans, her trusty old Martin in hand. Onstage, her life is your life... how DOES she make the sad part sound so good?

“Sonya Heller takes her place alongside the great female voices of the Folk and Jazz world.”—Crossroads Magazine

This been around the block touring Pop/Folk singer/songwriter, composer,is a three time ASCAP Awards recipient and the recent new love of France.
Just returned from an exceptional engagement in Paris for Radio France and the Women of the World "Femmes du Monde" festival at which she represented the United States!!

Music Morsels Magazine recently called Sonya, “The Big Apples latest gift to the singer/songwriter world.. one of the most ear-opening in a long time” She continues touring throughout this country and has had her music performed by Jazz and World music artists from Carnegie Hall to the Olympia Theatre in Paris.Taking after her parents, both gifted singers,“She weaves her voice like golden thread throughout her lyrics, and delivers her “message in a bottle” gently and powerfully. This has become her trademark.”

Incredible voice that takes you on a journey!
This was my first introduction to Sonya's music. Throughout the CD I thought that I was listening to Laura Nyro (great singer-songwriter from the late 1960's). Sonya's voice is beautiful and it takes you on a journey throughout the CD.

Women when you are wanting time alone, this is the CD to put on and relax. It is music that will help take you to your inner being.

What a blessing for me, that I have found someone with the great beauty in her voice like Laura Nyro!
