Album Notes
Rabbi Micah Lapidus and Rabbi Loren Filson Lapidus live in Atlanta, Ga. This is Micah's 3rd album of original Jewish music (Be a Blessing, 2013; A Palace in Time, 2015). Together they composed these songs and performed them for family milestones. Produced in collaboration with Micah's longtime partner, Will Robertson of Gallup Studios, the music is beautifully arranged. Though much of the album is in Hebrew, the mood and spirit of the music is universal. English lyrics will help non-Hebrew speakers understand the unfamiliar words. Rabbis and cantors, wedding musicians and others will find this album incredibly useful in bringing new melodies to traditional ceremonies of all kinds. This album is also a perfect gift from the officiant to the life cycle participant and can be used to engage the participant or congregant in decisions about the music that is included in their life cycle event.
