ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born and raised in Nottuln/W-Germany, Hendrik urged to settle over to the U.S in 1998- after graduating Jazz Music college in Holland. He then discovered the roots of American music, using NYC' s music industry platform to play, perform and record with the Best of the Best. He has worked with CARLY SIMON, PAUL SHAFFER, DUNCAN SHEIK and AMBER and with NYC's most respected musicians including Shawn Pelton, Keith Carlock, Oz Noy, Tim Lefevbre, Henry Hey, Elaine Caswell, Tabatha Fair, Everett Bradley, Lucy Woodward, Lorenza Ponce, Peter Bernstein, Charnett Moffett, Jerry Jemmott and many Oscar, Grammy & Emmy awarded winners. He has worked with actors Edie Falco, Kevin Kline, Dominic Fumusa and Paul Rudd as well as "The Kings Speech" writer and Oscar winner DAVID SEIDLER. He has discovered talents like songwriter Sarah Solovay who opened up for John Mayer and got handpicked out of 5000 contestants. In 2009 Hendrik recorded with Duncan Sheik, Holly Brook and Ann Hampton Callaway as part of the "Our Time" benefit project, that also features Hall & Oates and the Blue Man Group. Hendrik recorded his second instrumental album "Life in the Loop" in January 2009 (ITUNES). The acoustic ballad "Tribute to Heath Ledger", has earned him the biggest international fanbase. In February 2010 Hendrik joined Gigi Fouquet's band, a French American Rock & Pop musician. Bandmember's include Dido powerhouse rhythm combo Alex Alexander & Keith Golden and longtime Bryan Adams bandmember Tommy Mandel on keys. "Playing with an original Bryan Adams bandmember is my dream come true! It can not get any better!", Hendrik admits. Growing up, Hendrik listened to early 80's British Rockabilly and Underground Rock, then fell in love with American Music shortly after. He learned to play organ, trumpet and flugelhorn at the age of 10, then switched to guitar at the age of 12 hoping to impress one of the neighborhood girls. His brief involvement with hip-hop impresario Wyclef-Jean in 2002 had the most influence on his early NY career, leading him to record with Grammy awarded artist AMBER in December of 2003. Hendrik and Amber had known each other from growing up in Nottuln/Germany, but had not been in touch for over 15 years. Peaking at AMBER's album release bill on Broadway & 86th in early 2003 made Hendrik's jaw drop. Hendrik called up her manager-the rest is history. Joyous over the reunion they went to fly back to see their families in late December 2003. AMBER offered Hendrik (over Greenland!) to play on her new album MY KIND OF WORLD. It was released in the fall of 2004. They had 3 Top 10 Hit singles in 2004 and 2005. ....
