ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Fourth Choir was founded in September 2013 by a group of LGBT+ singers who wanted to sing choral works to a high standard and to represent the LGBT+ community on London’s classical music scene. Although the majority of the singers in the Choir identify as LGBT+, the choir welcomes experienced singers of all backgrounds and identities.

The Choir has performed at many of London’s top cultural venues, including the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, the Royal Festival Hall, King’s Place, the British Museum, the V&A and the British Library. The Choir has also performed abroad, in Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, at Antwerp’s Queer Arts Festival and in the stunning Palazzo Doria Pamphilj in Rome.

The Fourth Choir is an audaciously ambitious ensemble… who are not especially well-known as yet. But being sharp, smart and resourceful, they deserve to be."
Michael White, Music Correspondent for The Telegraph and New York Times
